Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Is video technology approaching the limits of human perception yet? As many have argued with audio, has the technology surpassed the human eye's ability to detect differences in quality, or are we almost there?

Yep. This pretty much confirms you're just watching the wrong setups. Even if you don't care, the difference between a DVD and a properly calibrated 4K display is absolutely MASSIVE.

Oh believe you me, I'm not watching that setup. I mean, unless I'm at my Moms and she won't let me try to figure out how to fix it for her. But that's only like once every three or four years.
