The US has 800 military bases in 70 countries. Russia has about 12.

There are 28 member states of NATO, an alliance purpose built for war with Russia. 5 of them border Russia. Explain to me again why NATO continued to exist after the Cold War?

But then again European reliance on US military makes them more controllable, so we wouldn't want them to have to develop their own militaries.

I'm not clear on what you said there, but If you don't want war with Russia, you should probably be more concerned with the administration currently moving troops into Eastern Europe and throwing Russian diplomats out of the country. AKA, The NOT Trump Administration.

Maybe, but NATO encroachment on Russia's borders and the Western establishment's aggression makes nuclear war more likely, not less. None of that has anything to do with Trump.

Of course, Trump could always start WW3 because Alec Baldwin made fun of him on SNL, so there really isn't a winning scenario here.

I posted a video about this very thing (Russia has a right to be afraid and defend itself. The west is planting forces in its borders) and I got shouted down for it. There is a lack of let's see the other side. If Russia started planting troops and bases in Canada and Mexico we know immediately it would be all out war. I don't believe the Russians are the aggressors here at all. And they are being provoked. Even with a level headed intelligent leader in putins place,it would be provocation.

But it's putin. So it's a matter of time until it boils over unless trump truly is his ball boy and withdraws US military from NATO and Europe. That doesn't mean there won't be war. It just means the US either will refuse to get involved or side with Russia.

By the way. No European country is defenceless. US taking part is overrated. UK/Germany/France are all armed to the teeth.

I just looked up project veritas. That's not what a dirty bomb is.

It's the same thing though pete. And delegitimises genuine protest.
I'm probably coming from my own part of the world and knowing what leaving a bomb in a pub or at a party means so I'm hyping it up but I know this form of action doesn't work in favour of those in opposition to whatever it might be they oppose.
