I'm for it.

I prefer Topo Chico for the aggressive carbonation, but LaCroix has some pretty tasty flavors and you can those aluminum cans to the park or the beach. It's also a nice little cheat for genre bending gin & tonic variations if you don't have much fresh citrus or bitters (or tonic) around.

I've been hooked on LaCroix, or Schweppes, for the last year or so. I gave up soda, and needed to get those bubbles somehow. Lemon-lime Schweppes is my favorite. LaCroix lime and orange are also up there. You're right about that other thing; they go great with a your hard liquor of choice. I did a black cherry Schweppes with some bourbon the other night that really hit the spot.

I don't know as far as ingredients go, but they taste totally different. I prefer the Irish blend.

Irish is a lot stronger. It's a nice blend.

In a nutshell
English breakfast: Full-bodied and rich. Originally a China black tea but now frequently includes a strong Ceylon tea component. May also include teas from Assam, Africa, and/or Indonesia.
Irish breakfast: More robust than English breakfast. Generally has a strong Assam component, giving it a malty flavor.
Scottish breakfast: Typically the strongest of the three. May include teas from China, Assam, Ceylon, Africa, and/or Indonesia.
