Isabelle Huppert should win best actress and that's all that matters.

Andrew Garfield is a goddamn great actor. I have no idea why trag hates him so much. A list, B list, C list, W list... don't give a shit. He's fucking great in everything.

I... I'm not sure that's true, though.bada wrote:Well he was pretty much blacklisted for a few years there.
We all got made at him for being a racist, misogynistic, lunatic asshole. But he's been active in Hollywood the entire time. He hasn't directed in a decade. But I'm not sure that's a blacklisting issue. Maybe it is. I really don't know. Just seems like he's been trying to find his next thing. He found it. And everyone agrees he's a great director. Seems weird that people are surprised that's being recognized. *shrug*

Re: The 89th Academy Awards
He directed Apocalypto in 2006. His drunk driving incident was that same year. His domestic violence issue was in 2010. He appeared in the film Edge of Darkness that same year, 2010.tragabigzanda wrote:My assumption was that enough of the bankrolling for movies comes from Jewish people, so that he was probably having a tough time getting investors to support any movies he wanted to make.
