Also, I haven't had the chance to do a LaL, but I have vivid memories of my first listen (in a computer lab in grad school) and being floored by how much life Sad had, especially coming off of Riot Act.

Also, I THINK i prefer the Lost Dogs versions of Undone and BRY, but I'd need to do a side by side comparison.

There isn't a single song on LD that I prefer to it's "original."

I think there are several versions out there. I remember having at least two of them back in the Napster days

I agree
Officially releasing "Hard To Imagine" via a completely random small movie soundtrack was a strange move

The Chicago Cab version of Hard to Imagine slays the Lost Dogs version.

I really dont like the Lost Dogs version of 'Wash', it led me to believe I hated the song, but the original is fine.

Aren't they pretty similar except for a few lyrical differences? I don't know that I've ever done a side-by-side comparison.

When I first saw this post I thought you were referring to the S&M novel. But I agree -- it's the superior lyric.

TBH I don't think I've heard most of the original versions of the LD songs. If I have, I don't remember them.
