Critics have said that taking Iraq's oil would have been stealing from civilians and thus a war crime, a violation of international law. The President repeatedly campaigned on bombing Iraq oil fields to keep ISIS from profiting off of oil.
"Can you believe that? Who are the critics that say that? Fools. I don't call them critics. I call them fools," Trump said.
But the President said the US has spent trillions fighting ISIS, but that could have been avoided had the Americans just taken the terrorists oil.
Trump originally said that "maybe we'll have another chance," but he was noncommittal about what he specifically meant.
"We'll see what happens. I mean, we're going to see what happens. You know, I told you and I told everybody else that wants to talk, when it comes to the military, I don't want to discuss things. I want to let -- I want to let the action take place before the talk takes place," he said.

Looks like whoever transcribed the inauguration speech on whitehouse.gov slightly amended that line that matched up with a quote from The Dark Knight Rises.

It does say "As Prepared for Delivery" at the top, which means he just skipped over that word while reading, probably.

Funny that I can read the lines in the actual speech so closely, yet miss that disclaimer. Bias is a real thing.

Part of me loves seeing people refuse to participate in this administration. I love seeing people walk out. But at the same time, if all the people who oppose Donald and his bat-shittery leave, who fights him? Is this really a good thing? He's just going to replace these openings with people who will follow him straight into hell, right?

I might be misremembering, but I believe all of those who resigned have senior positions that were confirmed by the Senate and therefore serve at the pleasure of the president. If that's the case, they weren't long for their jobs anyway.

You may be right that Team Trump would eventually replace them, but:

All are career foreign service officers who have served under both Republican and Democratic administrations.

Yeah presidents don't usually just come in and replace FSOs on a whim. Most of them are and have been very established in whatever country they are serving and are valuable no matter what their political beliefs may be.

I can see the argument that it could arguably place people at risk, depending on the level of detail provided, but I can also see (being charitable) that it assists in creating conditions whereby people who've immigrated illegally are motivated to leave and a provides a disincentive towards immigrating illegally.
