Love it, Reminds me a little of some early Queen songs especially the bridge.

Also, there's plenty of room for songs with "space" on ALL THE OTHER TRACKS ON THE ALBUM.

Re: Mind Your Manners
I think the best thing I could say about this song is that it finally achieves what Ed has been wanting to: it's a fully-fledged punk song. All of his punk efforts have been almost there so far but not quite hitting the spot. I'm not the biggest punk fan in the world, but this seems authentic to me like nothing on Backspacer or S/T really did.

This sounds like it should be on the soundtrack of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3. That is not a bad thing.

Just what I was afraid of. Men pushing fifty thinking they're in their teens. It's cringey right now. Hope it'll grow on me.
Ps- drums. Sound. Awful.

Except for the Star Wars prequels. Fuck the artist's intention there. They blew.

It's not a matter of should sound like, but rather what they have sounded like for over 20 years, which leaves nothing to interpret. This sounds exactly same.southp wrote:Strange thing to say... because we all have different interpretations of what PJ should sound like.Chris_H_2 wrote:So basically, MYM sounds like Pearl Jam, which is precisely what I didn't want.

Music is tight. Ed sounds great. Lots of open high hat
. What I can make of the lyrics sound good.

actually when that shitty youtube video came out I thought it reminded me of something from the THPS 2 soundtrack, especially the bridge, couldn't find which one thoughMonkey_Driven wrote:This sounds like it should be on the soundtrack of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3. That is not a bad thing.

Re: 10th album rumors and speculation
I love that part too. I'd call it more of a 'second chorus' since they repeat it again. Or is the "mind your manners" part the pre-chorus? I need to know!Lament wrote:I second whoever it was who said the bridge into the solo is great. That's the best part of the song. That's the moment that really clinches this song for me. Nothing in the world beats a good bridge.

Re: Mind Your Manners
The intro, bridge (or second chorus), solo, and outro are great
The main riff is fine, but it's pretty familiar.
I like Eddie's screech at the end, and there is more low end than we've heard from him in a while. I wonder if they tried takes where he was a bit more aggressive in his vocals.

This is getting better the more I listen to it. Very good lead single. Doesn't sound at all like old men trying to attempt something they shouldn't.

This is definitely an amalgam of STBC and Comatose.
