Louie did some really interesting things with plot arcs and real dramatic moments that I don't think I've ever seen in an episode of Maron. It's not a bad show but Louie is much more compelling from what I've seen.

For one thing, Marc Maron is a much better actor. Louis CK mostly wanders around looking befuddled.

For another, Louie's character is boring. He doesn't act. Things just happen to him. Other characters hurl abuse at him, and he just takes it and moves on to the next scene. Maron's character is far more interesting and complex. And he is active.

Oddly enough, Louis CK is my favorite comedian and I don't really like Maron's stand up or his podcast.

I don't really agree with any of this. They play two very different guys, but Louie's acting is fine.

Agree with all this. That scene when Marc interviews his ex-wife...goddamn, that's some shit.
