With respect to the rest of your post, suffice to say, I disagree. I think you're at risk of being dangerously myopic about this and I think it's always a worthwhile exercise to consider things from a different perspective. If I'm the problem, what of the millions of Americans (including women, POC, etc.) who voted for Trump? They're not all crazy racists - they're your neighbours, your colleagues, the people you walk past in the street, etc.

I can understand being disappointed in the results of the election but most of what I see from the left, calling everyone a Nazi or a white nationalist, the calls for resistance instead of greater understanding, seems designed to help Trump and increase the likelihood of his winning a second term.

When the churches your "neighbors, colleagues and people you walk past the street" have signs that read "We Support Trump. Ban Muslims" and those very neighbors talk about getting rid of those "asshole wetbacks" and kids at my daughter's school build a human wall around Hispanic kids that only want to play soccer chanting "go Trump! send them home!", what other conclusion can be made, Spenno? Trump has brought out the worst in humanity. He has made it ok for these people to embrace their prejudices. Not only that, he's making sure they're armed, as well. The very fact he was elected demonstrates the level of bigotry and hatred our country has harboured. He didn't get elected because he's going to build up the middle class. There's not going to be a middle class anymore. He got elected because he's going to put the niggers, spics and towel-heads in their place and make America great again. Every problem America has had that he's going to fix has been the fault of the blacks, the Mexicans and the Muslims. He has laid the blame at all of their feet. The white man isn't at fault for any of our nation's woes. His every move is the same thing Hitler did to build up his support. It's like he's read Mein Kampf and is using it as a guide. Remember, Hitler was "making Germany great again" too. His "closest advisors" and his attorney general are known racists. Everything that has been done has been to embolden the white man and he's even calling for building more detention centers for these people and withholding money to communities that don't conform to his agenda. If you don't see just what the big deal is, maybe you need to open up a history book and see just how what's happening now parallels what happened 75-80 years ago.
