It doesn't apply to greater than 4 out of 5 Muslims on the planet, so no. I think Giuliani wishes it was. But it's not. It a ridiculous and rushed attempt at correcting the serious flaws in how we have been handling refugees and asylum seekers dressed up in old school 'fear of the other' to sell to his clown brigade.Strat wrote:"Its not by any stretch of the imagination" really? Of even after Giuliani's quotes?

The word "hysteria" getting thrown around to describe Trump's critics fits nicely with "cuck" and other terms that some of his supporters have adopted (see? my English degrees aren't worthless--close reading!).

i wonder how the global jewish media conspirators feel about all this
on the one hand, trump clearly supports the state of israel, bigly
on the other hand, he doesn't say "jews" on holocaust day
on the other hand, he is pushing around muslim immigrants
on the other hand, his key adviser is a white nationalist
on the other hand, his daughter is married to a jew

Re: The 45th POTUS - Donald J. Trump
An executive order, even one of Trump's is likely never to be as overt as "we're banning Muslims. Only Muslims. Just to be clear, we are practicing religious discrimination against Muslims." So if that's the rubric the standard of targeting Muslims is, then this doesn't pass that test. The Trump crew is likely not completely politically tone-deaf, and as they're currently learning more and more by the minute, targeting a group on the basis of religion doesn't play to the whole country as it does to his most die-hard base.Strat wrote:"Its not by any stretch of the imagination" really? An executive order trying to achieve those ends, or at least hint at those ends, was never going to be so overt. Does this executive order 100 percent bar any Muslim from entering the U.S.? No, so I guess it's not a Muslim ban. But does the EO expressly attempt to inhibit Muslims from these affected countries enter the U.S.? I mean, yeah. It's chief architect and proponent has said as much.

I think politicking is, essentially, the enemy of art. Art should be profound and transcendent. Political squabbling is petty by comparison.Strat wrote:Interesting that you think of it as degradation. are there certain areas in life that protesting and speaking out are unacceptable?LoathedVermin72 wrote:Ugh no. Not to say politics aren't an important piece of a lot of art, of course.

Can a beautiful piece of art be political in nature? Shouldnt art be one of the main forms of protest? If Kanye wrote a protest song......LoathedVermin72 wrote:I think politicking is, essentially, the enemy of art. Re: The 45th POTUS - Donald J. Trump
This has been a long process. The artistry of independent and arthouse and "serious" movies has been swallowed by liberal vanity and identity politics, and I absolutely see it as degradation. That is what I hate. Again, don't get me wrong: social awareness is crucial to great art. But a social agenda is often the death of it. And it has almost all become agenda and virtue.Strat wrote:You just dont want to see it on tv at a pointless awards show?LoathedVermin72 wrote:See my last post.Strat wrote:Can a beautiful piece of art be political in nature?
