Re: The Cinematic Motion Picture News Thread
Yeah I know and this isn't a critique on that movie just the financial risk involved with all these Avatar ventures. I never see anyone one geeking out on or clamoring for more Avatar. It's not my money so good luck but....I just wonder how much of that gross was based of the temporary 3D craze that seems dead now.LoathedVermin72 wrote:....that is also the highest-grossing movie of all timebada wrote:Has there ever been a bigger risk than the Avatar sequels? I get what you're saying but after the performance of Titanic and Avatar, I can't imagine Fox is feeling very nervous investing in Cameron.

It would be dumb to bet against Cameron...the law of averages though.

Avatar 2 is going to flop so hard that Avatar 3 will be a VOD-only release. No one cares about that movie anymore. It sucked and no one remembers it now that the hype has faded.

Well, Alien is Ridley Scott's jam. So it's really up to him.VinylGuy wrote:Its funny Cameron wants another one but at the same time he is saying no more Aliens movie. Fuck off Jim.BurtReynolds wrote:Just let terminator die.
Cameron is getting the rights back to Terminator soon. Doesn't surprise me that he wants to "right that ship" so to speak once it's his again.

Yeah, but the movie isn't great anyway, so no big loss.VinylGuy wrote:what a mistake it was not to have Mel doing the character in Fury Road.
