I wonder. If every person that voted for a third party candidate thought that Trump actually had a real and viable chance of winning, would they have still voted for that third party candidate?

This raises a good point that I often forget in the light of the ugliness the ban has wrought, which is that it in large part constitutes a solution to a completely non-existent problem for the U.S.
They found no one from any of the affected seven countries had killed any Americans in terrorist attacks within the U.S. in thirty years. They found three Americans killed by refugees, all of which occurred in the 1970s, and none of which were committed by a Syrian refugee, the class indefinitely barred from entry by the order.
While I haven't done the type of research Cato's done, no one's disputed their findings. So if the entire motive for the ban from these countries is keeping Americans safe within our borders, and we have the information you have above, wouldn't that make anybody wonder what the point of this was?
I wouldn't necessarily think of Cato as being in natural opposition to the progressive left on this issue either; aren't they quite libertarian in their outlook? Not that I think it matters, I think it's generally unwise to deduce too much from subjective perceptions of people's motives and intent.
Heard a story on NPR this evening on the drive home that really made me realize that the current administration's goal is a complete merging of the alt-right and the religious right. And it totally reminded me of the early to mid 20th century and the KKK. There was a definite mixing of white supremacy and religion with ministers and pastors leading chapters. This is ultimately what I see happening. And if something isn't done and changes made in the Breit House, it's gonna happen very soon and be very bad.

Not nearly as big a problem as white right-wing terrorism, which this administration is apparently going to stop combating. Why shouldn't I be more afraid of radicalized whites when they're the ones killing my fellow Americans?
Not that I'm expecting an actual answer to that question, since spenno either seems to think white suprenatism doesn't exist, or he tacitly supports it.

Not only that, they're going to say it's ok and do everything they can to make sure they're armed to the teeth as well.
