Actually she does both of those a lot

Joey, I know you hate Cruise, but you should give this piece a read. Maybe it will help give you a bit more appreciation for him.

First of all, I do not hate Tom Cruise. Secondly, I will happily read that. BRB.

It's a nice piece but I'm not sure how it's supposed to enlighten me about Tom Cruise: The Actor. I still contest that Eyes Wide Shut and Magnolia are his two best performances. It's no surprise that great directors working from great scripts are able to help even competent actors shine. And Cruise is, at the very least, competent.

Also, my issues with Jack Reacher have little to do with Tom Cruise.

It's the fact that HE NEVER GOES BACK!

She is so awful. Just a tv actress. A bad one.

Ah. I see.

I might watch Jack Reacher one of these days. But the trailers looked so fucking stupid.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

The first one was awful.
It sure looked it to me. And again, that's not a Tom Cruise commentary, just a comment on this particular film.

Verm got me thinking about Tom Cruise. I'm going to use this thread as an opportunity to rank/rate his films that I've seen. I'm going to rank them in order. Then off to the side I'm going to give two grades: one for Tom and one for the film itself. The Tom grade will be 1-5 (five being best) and the film's grade will be an academic type letter grade...

List to come. One minute please...
