I have one reason to think there'll be a teaser for 8 durin the superbowl tonight.

Cos those that know are protesting too much that there won't be.

I don't know. I liked the Falcon reveal. Didn't bother me.

It wasn't by accident l. It will have an explanation in 8. No way it was randomly sitting there.

right. but even the whole "no, not that pile of junk..." OH LOOK WE HAVE TO TAKE THAT PILE OF JUNK I AM SO SURPRISED ITS THE FALCON

Skitch. Did you see the force awakens in the cinema opening weekend?
If not I can't explain how awesome it was to have that moment happen 'the garbage will do' and then the Star Wars fanfare play as the camera spun around to it and the whole cinema lose its mind cheering. It's the first old and beloved character appears in the film.
The importance of the falcon is too often forgotten. It's home. It's where our heroes live and work from and saves them every time. When it doesn't need a push :)

It was done perfectly to me and I'm sad for you or anyone who doesn't get how brilliant that moment is. Makes me cheer every time :)
First showing. It would have worked if they hadn't already referenced the garbage

Calling yourself a liar now?
You laughed at that line? Yet you have previously said there was not one redeemable feature of this film.

The Falcon reveal is only contrived or weird, in my opinion, if you look at it from the opposite end. If you're Rey and Finn there is no joke, no contrivance. It's only weird as someone who has some relationship to the thing. And since, unlike many SW fans, I don't think of the Falcon as a character or even an all together iconic or interesting thing outside of nostalgia, it didn't bother me.

I know. I still love you.

If it's any consolation I think we're gonna see the falcon get destroyed in 8

They built it up in Donegal for filming but only built the underside of the hull. Top half was all covered in that green screen tarp.

I'd say she's a goner in the attack. (It's the same set up the filmed the knights of ren and Kylo attacking Luke and Rey.

I'm not gonna lie... I would LOVE to see the Falcon get destroyed. Of course, only if it matters to the story AND they never reconstruct it. I don't want that Enterprise bullshit where there's a new one every fucking movie.

It's just not "Iconic Star Wars" to me. There are other things I like and associate with Star Wars way more than the Falcon.
