Thunderclap

Post by dimejinky99 »

Think this is my favourite pearl jam music ever. My first tour. It was all going so well until that day. But still. This shows the happy parts. Love that it's a song with potential that never got finished.

I remember one late night when you were doing Jordan's show on WBZ and you used this as a bump. I loved that so much.

The main guitar part reminds me of the beginning of Setting Forth.

This song really highlights the evolution of guitar tones that the band started with Yield. When they changed from what we were used to with Vitalogy and a lot of No Code, I was a little hesitant just bc I loved the sound of those two records. But in hindsight, as other bands were still playing catch-up and trying to mimic a lot of Seattle bands, PJ shifted and there really was no other band I know of that tonally sounded like this.

Thunderclap is a decent little ditty, but that's about it.

I always liked these instrumentals. Harmony is killer and Thunderclap could have been a cool song.

But it's not strange 'Thunderclap' never made in into a real song, just listen to the Cream song NSU......
