Lego batman is so much fun.
Blinding amount of references and fan service but it only gets to be too much at a couple of moments when it doesn't land or is poorly placed.
How come DC can't manage to get some momentum out of this?
This is the best batman DC has right now. For an entire generation coming up.
That's hilarious.

I was really bummed out when i saw it. Its so long and the pace is just..boring. Its almost a decision....the only thing i liked was the scene with Casey and Michelle.Strat wrote:Manchester by the Sea

I think if you don't like this movie it just means disaster hasn't touched your life. And that's fine. But Affleck works a wonder on this film exploring that terrain. And does it so well. He deserves an oscar.

I liked him in this, im not questioning his performance. I even said that the scene with him and Michelle is great....but i was really bummed out with Lonergan´s choices of how to tell this story...i think it could have been a really good movie because of the story, and it just fells short because of what the director did with it.

I found the pacing perfect. I wouldn't even describe it as slow. It was over two hours long, but it didn't feel that way to me. I wish it was longer.

Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk is a masterpiece. Echoes of Robert Altman are all over it. I was a weeping mess by the end. Absolutely beautiful. Profound. The kind of uniquely American film experience that is rarely seen anymore.
Also, I got used to the HFR after a few minutes, and grew to appreciate it. The hyper-real look gave those combat images a gravity and realism I have never seen in a movie. It was overwhelming, and deeply disturbing.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.
