Sigur Ros is the band that I've wanted to get to know for years. I've only ever heard a couple of their songs, both of which I liked a lot. They seem to fit my taste very well (from what I've read and heard from friends). I need to get on this asap.

I used to really enjoy them, in the early-to-mid 2000s. But I find it to be pretty dull music these days, not sure why.
Yep, same. I just don't have the patience for it anymore. I'm not impressed by that kind of "atmospheric" noodling. I'm much more into immediate, structured, efficient songs these days.

I get it though, that Sigur Ros isn't for everybody. I just am able to pin their music to different life experiences in my mind, and it all seems to mesh up when I do that, so it goes deeper for me.
