Facebook, dude. Take a quick gander at your Pearl Jam Fans filter. (If you have a Pearl Jam fans filter)
Maybe I should check out the Ten Club Members FB page for some comedy....

This is a good sign. Win/win.
Or lose! 'Not tonight hun - you gave me a headache!'
Yeah, but she says that all the time, so if I can give her a real headache, I'm happy.

I preordered the vinyl from pearljam.com. I like the artwork and think this thing could actually have a few songs I like after not being turned off by MYM. I feel so dirty....

I think "Mind Your Manners" is totally derivative of "New Day Rising"-era Husker Du and anyone who disagrees with me is a dummy. Do you agree with me? Are you a dummy?

Everything Pearl Jam has ever done is derivative though. They barely have an original bone in their 50 year old bodies.

Yeah, I'm a dummy. There influence is undeniably there, but I don't know if I'd go as far as to say it's derivative.

I hear it most in the bridge, which is also my favorite part of the song.

Am I wrong to say I prefer the guitar tones on New Day Rising to the guitar tones on MYM?

And yeah, the bridge (which I agree is the best part), is the most Husker Du-ish part.

Really loving this song, Ed sounds sooooo much better than on Backspacer and shits all over the Fixer. No cold! Don't mind album title and like the art concept.

Interesting to listen to Ole and this together, the multiple vocal approach in the outro is very similar.
While a Western guitar motif lost on the swings drum bass fusion, get your own thoughts into the subconscious often forgotten. "Pendulum" is a sweeping soul from the ballast.

"Mind Your Manners" is basically just another vessel for Ed to yell at Doug RR.

Its way better on Ole' in my opinion. The lyrics and delivery on the MYM outro kind of have the song stumbling at the finish line for me.

It is vastly superior, I wasn't comparing song quality, but there are some things they were doing there which are similar. I really love the Knight rider theme tune into ace of spades intro.

I've never outright hated a Pearl Jam album before so I still have all kinds of hope for this despite basically loathing MYM.

Why can't PJ bring back the riffage though? I'm not one of these jock rockers who needs everything to sound like "Ten" or "Versus" but why not more stuff in the vein of "Amongst the Waves" (one of the best PJ songs since GTF in my view). Nice mid-tempo rockers with solos that sound written and not torn off on the first take. Bring in some new crazy influences to it ala No Code but let's bring some real craft back PJ, not just relentless power chords. I really hope they do.
