Don't know what you mean by "complete", as they cut quite a few (available) demo tapes and many of the songs are horrid. But there are a few early tracks coming up that will be a surprise.
Sounds promising! Thanks!

My favorite of the "Amnesiac"-era B-sides as well. As a young idealistic rock twit, this was one of the first songs that made me pause and think, "Wow, electronic music can be really fucking beautiful."

I have a lot of these songs that I've collected through the years, but they are scattered, and not all are great quality. It's amazing to have these collected and provided in high quality in one set. I would seriously send ridley some funds for his time and effort to create this (and his other projects).

Don't forget WCT. And yes, I would kick in for that as well. We're incredibly fortunate here at RM; I have to wonder if any other forums have fans that put so much care into projects like this.

tragabigzanda wrote:Hey ridleybradout and WCT, can you tell us a bit about your mastering gear and techniques? Do you have a proper mastering suite, or are you just DIYing it? Are you EQing anything, or just matching levels and trimming fades?
Just DIY'ing it. The studio discs had very little done to them...it was just a matter of adding or subtracting space between songs. The cassette and sketchier promo-sourced tracks generally have the most work done to them. Thankfully I have a large collection so I was able to rip many of the tracks myself to ensure there were no errors.

Well the non-LP tracks were easy because they had very little done to them, not even a level shifting. What you hear is what was on the CD. The live stuff was more complicated as it tends to be all over the place.

Thanks, I'm currently getting weird looks on the train for my awkward snickering.

That's very kind - not that I ever would accept it, but I've seen things like this get weird/messy when moola gets involved.

I can't speak for WCT but I do this for the love it, and to get a quality final product that I would pay money for myself (if only more bands knew what their fans actually wanted). I never pursued my interest in graphic design further than high school, so this scratches that creative itch. It's also a great way to pass the time on my 50 minute commute to and from work (the only real chance I get to work on this stuff these days). It means projects like this can take a long time to put together, but I think any worthwhile project is usually better for a long gestation period

I'd prefer a good pecker rub to a couple of bucks.
