I printed the artwork for these first three discs off on nice paper and put them in shiny new jewel cases and I gotta say -- they're fuckin' beautiful. The music is obviously a treat, but the artwork probably looks better than half the CD's I own. They're officially "part of the collection." Thanks again for the labor of love, dudes.

Holy shit this is some seriously amazing work.
I'm not a Radiohead-head so I won't be delving in to this but just wanted to give a shout out.
20 discs! Wow.

Great to hear KD, I love that there are others still committed to making and displaying hardcopy CDsKevin Davis wrote:I printed the artwork for these first three discs off on nice paper and put them in shiny new jewel cases and I gotta say -- they're fuckin' beautiful. I was a bit worried that the art would be a bit dark on some printers, but it sounds like it turned out alright though?

I actually sent them to the FedEx Office by my work and paid them $3 to print them out (the inserts and backs) on their industrial strength printers (we've stopped keeping color ink on hand, it costs a fortune to replace and the kids just end up using it to print off random shit), and on paper at a thickness between regular copy paper and cardstock. They really do look like professional CD's; even my wife was blown away by how good they look (had to justify spending that $3, you know). Then I showed her that guy on Amazon who ripped off your "Self Pollution Radio" artwork.ridleybradout wrote:Great to hear KD, I love that there are others still committed to making and displaying hardcopy CDsKevin Davis wrote:I printed the artwork for these first three discs off on nice paper and put them in shiny new jewel cases and I gotta say -- they're fuckin' beautiful. The next four discs are ready - and chock full of live recordings!
And before anyone starts points out any live tracks you might have that are missing here, keep in mind that there are another NINE discs of neatly arranged live material to come (BBC sessions, TV/Radio Performances, Thom and Jonny sessions, Basement sessions etc.). These four discs simply collect together the standard 'in concert' performances. Alternate version of the artwork is included should you wish to make these into 2x 2CD sets.

Huzzah! Thank you good sirs!
I like the rainbow spectrum thing going on on the spine artwork -- very Pearl Jam 2000 Tour Bootleg-ish.

I can see myself spending the better part of 2017 absorbing this. Only have the initial three releases on hard copy so far and want to spend hours with each track.

I'm grabbing the music as it's shared but I'll probably wait till the whole mother lode drops before burning and packaging the rest -- should save trips to the printer. I like the 2CD option for the art -- will you be doing that for the remaining volumes as well?
Just looking at the sources for some of these live tracks -- this project had to have been a massive archaeological dig, some of the source material is just so incredibly obscure. A random live track given away by their website some 10-plus years ago? God bless the people who remember that this stuff happened...

Yes, there are about 3 more 2CD sets in the remaining discsKevin Davis wrote:I'm grabbing the music as it's shared but I'll probably wait till the whole mother lode drops before burning and packaging the rest -- should save trips to the printer. It certainly was a helleva dig to find all these sources! As I mentioned in the first post, rhtrack.com was a great resource that I stumbled upon while researching this, and thankfully the webmaster was kind enough to share some of the more obscure stuff he had. With CD singles gone and less rare material being released, the sets are kind of a 'ful stop*' on the glorious CD era of my youth.
*I do of course plan to do updates should more rare stuff get released

It's been so long since I've LAL'd Talk Show Host. I don't remember the instrumental breakdown at the end being as atmospheric and jammy as it is. Very cool surprise from a song I thought I knew like the back of my hand.
Oh, and I really like the earliest songs on Disc 1 of the B-sides collection.

Listening to that '95 Nottingham show right now. Colin's bass on "Bones" sounds very good, guys. Whether it's the soundboard source or WCT's editing or both, good job. Loving the tempo of this particular set, too. Songs like "Blow Out" (always been a favorite of mine) and "Nice Dream" feel ever-so-slightly slowed down and stretched out by the band.
Can't wait to dig in deeper. This collection is already making me want to revisit an era in their career that I haven't thought about in a while.

You're probably used to the Romeo+Juliet soundtrack version, which is actually the 'Nellee Hooper Mix' (which appears on an upcoming 'Demos & Alternate Versions' disc). The one on the Non-Album Tracks disc is the original that appears on the Street Spirit singlewashing machine wrote:It's been so long since I've LAL'd Talk Show Host.
