LMAO...if that glove could talk.......but honestly that thing was way too small on OJ there is no way he could've slayed anyone that night, I mean did you see that size of that thing? It was like almost a full size too small. Woulda been way too uncomfortable.

About their next album.. IMHO if they are planning to release a logical extension of Lightning Bolt then I could care less. What they should do is release their final masterpiece i.e Dewey Cox and it should be their final album, at least for awhile. The album should be experimental/avante garde space rock and Ed should write all the lyrics during an intense 4 day peyote trip. The album needs to contain long songs which are heavily nuanced with tempo changes/layered harmonies/layered guitar effects/layered vocal effects and maybe make a few songs with two drummers. Add in strings/keyboards/citars etc. Obviously this will never happen but please PJ just try to care about this album and put some effort into it, Stone im talking to you.

Which band is that - the experimental avant garde space rock combo or the one with two drummers and a sitar?

if there are 11 songs on the album and 5 are mid tempo rockers, there will be 3.

Oh and there's a few ballads with some lovely strings orchestrated by Brendan [O'Brien, the bands longtime producer]. We're planning some nice bonus tracks too - there's a great live version of Betterman that we'll probably offer as an iTunes exclusive."

That's not real. Is it???

Christ, I'm so starved for news on this thing that I was tempted to believe it.

Made me think - what is our worst case scenario for this thing?

For me, it would be a by-the-numbers retread of the "fast punky numbers, ballads and mid-tempo rockers shabbily produced by BOB" record.

I would be happy with anything even slightly more adventurous. Just want them to truly commit to a different direction. Like, go for a sound instead of a collection of songs.

Well I listened to the clip of that new song earlier and I had pure eyero. Oh no. This is just awful.

It sounds terrible and it's weird they'd put it out.

Phew. Guys, we can all relax now, just saw Ed is collaborating with a new songwriting partner. This could actually turn out awesome.

I hope they bring that thing on tour with them next time out. The irony in having an actual dancing bear onstage would be, what's the saying, delicious?

At this rate, how is the next album not a fan-made companion piece to the 2016 Chicago Cubs?
