For a minute there I thought Mike was talking about his undiagnosed Crohns days and the aftermath of taking a shit backstage
Think I’m going to try being kind to everyone a chance.

Of mike talking. They play a clip of the song near the end.

I do not understand how a band gets so many people to follow them when all you people do is get on here and say how bad they are and their new stuff is terrible. I mean if you hate on everything pearl jam does now, why are you guys still coming to this site? I think the snippet sounded great and to to think their next album will suck is just crazy. If you are coming here just to complain about "new" pearl jam, get a life. The worst pearl jam song ever made is still better than any other song any other band has ever put out. AHH!!

Other than mad season, temple of the dog, three phish, bruce springsteen, neil young, mudhoney, stone gossard, candlebox, and mother love bone - who else do you listen to?

ok, so I may have been a little off with my last statement haha...I can man up to that. I never post in here hardly but it just seems like its a hate fest most of the time and I was just curious why so many people check this site out and post on it if they don't like the new stuff. Wouldn't you just kind of not follow pearl jam anymore? With the quality of bands that are out now, which is terrible, I am just happy pearl jam is still turning the wheels and cranking out good stuff and still killer live shows.

Well there's this... http://forums.theskyiscrape.com/viewforum.php?f=3

And there are bands out there right now putting out stuff that is light years ahead of anything Pearl Jam has done in the last decade.

that's my point I guess......why do you still get on here then. Just to show your disgust with what pearl jam is doing now? Do these other bands that you claim are light years ahead of pearl jam (which is funny) have websites you can go praise them at? Just want to hate?

Just because we're not super happy with the last decade of PJ's output, which only consists of 2 albums, does not mean we don't like the first 15 years of the band. Most people here still really like, or even love the band, we just don't think everything they do is great.

Did you click the link I posted? Sometime we talk about news and debate, or sports, or arts and entertainment, or food and dining, or just some good ol' fashioned general discussion.

There's also a community of people here that exists regardless of the quality of pearl jam's output.

The main group of posters that regularly post here do it because they like the RM community and it's members. Sure, PJ was the reason we all started posting here, but I doubt PJ is the main reason that long term RMers continue to post here.

Also, these comments that basically insist that "everything PJ does is wonderful and better than anything else by anyone" just point to your lack of objectivity and musical knowledge. Which is fine, there's no rule against being uninformed or maniacally biased, but it sure isn't going to do much to prove your credibility.

Couple years old, and not a new band, but still counts.
