I hate going to movies nowadays, but I really should go out and see Django.
Looking forward to Superman this summer.
Should I go see the Hobit? I just rewatched the LOTR movies and loved them, but I don't really have much of a desire to watch The Hobbit for some reason.

Well, I'm probably not the best person to answer you questions, d_v, because I loved Fellowship of the Ring, really liked The Two Towers and really disliked Return of the King. So, I'd say, skip The Hobbit. I read the book. That's enough.
Superman, I'm actually excited about as well.

Yeah, the Hobbit just doesn't interest me. It's gonna be a trilogy too, right? I thought this was supposed to be like a side story, and a much smaller book. Is there even enough material for 3 movies? Or is this Peter Jackson over indulgence?durdencommatyler wrote:Well, I'm probably not the best person to answer you questions, d_v, because I loved Fellowship of the Ring, really liked The Two Towers and really disliked Return of the King. Superman looks pretty great. The last one was OK, but borderline bad. I've seen it twice and really don't care if I see it again. The first Christopher Reeve one though, I love it (more so than pt. II).
I'm finally getting around to Dark Knight Rises this week too, so I'm looking forward to that this year.

The first one is already a success so i guess they did the right move, but fuck it, it should have been one maybe two movies...

Re: Most anticipated movies from 2013
My understanding is that he's "fleshing out" The Hobbit by adding in a lot of stuff from the appendices and other Tolkien works. So not all of it is from the book, The Hobbit.
Also, I read a report that Jackson didn't tell the cast it would be three films until the wrap party. Everyone knew they'd have to come back for pick-ups and reshoots. That's typical. But the cast was told at the wrap party about the decision to make it three movies instead of two.
Jackson needs help. Someone needs to tell the guy, enough is enough.
