3.5/5 from me. I like it better than Supersonic, if that helps.

Also, why is Amongst the Waves getting trashed? It's a great song!
It is a great song. It's classic PJ. Way better than the utterly bland "Force of Nature" that seemingly every PJ fan other than myself worships.
This.
dafaq? Force of Nature is a really nice track. The keys in that song really do it for me. I love it.
It's a nice song, and I like the keys in that verse most of all, but it's not technically as good as ATW for me.
I can dig on that. Totally agree.
Except, sorry, I shouldn't have said 'for me' because I was being objective.
I don't think we need to be objective in THIS thread.

I'd still throw The End, Force of Nature, and Got Some above crap. Some just barely.

Johnny Guitar might be the only Backspacer song to stand the test of time, imo. My wife doesn't like it either, but she's less patient with PJ these days. She's blanketly dismissed Backspacer as not good enough, and who can blame her?

If it really is "we could something else" (it sounds kinda muddled to me), then that's my least favourite lyric on this thing, especially since it sits so awkwardly on the music. But maybe that's the point, with a lyric like that.
that might be my favorite lyric. goes along with the whole "who the hell knows" of it all. it fits.
It's meant to be funny and lazy, imo. Part of the humour. "Well, uh, we could do this, or that, or we could do... somethin' else."
yep, that too.
Yup, I know what it's trying to do, but for me it doesn't quite hit the right mark. I like the lyrics though, even if they don't match up to "Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah".
I'm with you. Maybe if he had just drifted off and said "something else" it could have worked for me Idk.

Johnny Guitar would be a lot more palatable to me if the Lyrics were better.
