So is the Noomi Repace from the first movie in this or not? I heard she wasn't then I heard she is in the movie.

Is this the planet they left to go to at the end of the first movie?

Yeah, the problem with Prometheus was the terrible script, and those writers are gone.

Man I can't wait for this. Danny McBride and James Franco? You know they'll both die before the end of the movie.

Not sure. A reporter did a set visit and
Spoiler: show
said that she will at least be referenced. That and just how sick the trailer looked and David having some crazy lab has me pumped for this. Sounds like it will do a good job of getting past the bumps that Prometheus put up while getting back to what made the series awesome.

The only bit that took me out of the trailer is when they step out onto the new world, find the corn etc...... I've been tramping there a few times when I've gone down to the South Island. That's no alien world bro - you're just in the Milford Sounds

Hey, we've only got so many locations to work with here.

I think this looks really solid. I'm pretty excited for it. But the only Alien film I didn't really care for was Resurrection. I've liked all the others including Prometheus. So, I can't imagine disliking this one.

Prometheus is a solid cable movie--whenever I notice it's on, I watch about 20 minutes of it until there's a commercial. I haven't watched the whole thing since I watched a leaked screener copy, though.

I really like it. It's flawed but it's nowhere near as bad as many make it out to be. There's a lot to chew on and the cinematography is really nice. Good performances all around. Strange and compelling. Yeah, I really like it.

Prometheus is perhaps the only movie I semi-regularly rewatch despite thinking it's bad.

Why is that, do you think? What keeps you coming back if it's bad?

One thing, and one thing only: the visuals. It's a gorgeous, stylish, sumptuous, visually intoxicating movie.

It's dumb as a bag of hammers, though. Maybe I should start watching it on mute.
