fjm's shtick just doesn't do it for me...plus i find his songs just plain boring

the avett brothers never grew on me either

I didn't get it until I listened to the whole album. When all I knew was the "drinkin' whiskey by the bottle" song, I was unimpressed. But the record changed my mind with its excellent (if conventional) take on the old-school Nashville sound.
i'll give her album another shot. i put it on in the background a few times and nothing grabbed me.
her instagram feed, though...that grabs me.
