you know whose popularity/acclaim i don't get? margo price.

I didn't get it until I listened to the whole album. When all I knew was the "drinkin' whiskey by the bottle" song, I was unimpressed. But the record changed my mind with its excellent (if conventional) take on the old-school Nashville sound.

i'll give her album another shot. i put it on in the background a few times and nothing grabbed me.

her instagram feed, though...that grabs me.

Meh. I saw her on an Anthony Bourdain show, and she seemed really cool. I gave her new album a listen and was not impressed at all.

Sort of. I find her to be refreshing in her lack of trying anything new or edgy. Just really strong songwriting with great Nashville musicians and production.
