Not sure if this is legit or anything , but I found this link to what's allegedly a song off of album 10 on my Facebook. If someone knows what it is, I'd like to know
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbsKOicNejI&sns=em
Sounds more like a solo effort to me.

That's a song by someone named John Willemse. I don't think he sounds like Ed at all.Kral wrote:Not sure if this is legit or anything , but I found this link to what's allegedly a song off of album 10 on my Facebook. If someone knows what it is, I'd like to know

It would also appear that this is from that person's official youtube channel, and they're just trying to generate hits by claiming it's a Pearl Jam song. Scandalous.

It is as though Neil Young and Eddie Vedder collaborated to form an acoustic Merkin Ball.

John’s musical path will certainly stretch a Long Road.Heathen wrote:It is as though Neil Young and Eddie Vedder collaborated to form an acoustic Merkin Ball.

Re: Lightning Bolt - October 15
I've been walking around work with headphones on since yesterday listening to this over and over. Its fucking badass. I've been waiting for them to break into something churning and driving with that double-time punk beat ever since the Johnny Ramone influence became a stock reference in interviews. This is what I was expecting Supersonic to turn into upon hearing the first few seconds of that live video from London long ago, yet it never materialized. Over the years they kept cranking out straight-ahead uptempo rock in the shadow of the Ramones to the point that it became boring and predictable and people started bitching about Matt's tempo in comparison to the feel of previous drummers. I always thought the Ramones influence was fine, but kept thinking, push things over in this direction. Now they finally have. Now we have aggressive punk with the groove of the older albums and it sounds like a new rejuvenated band. Speed up Why Go or Even Flow and you sort of wade close to where Matt's drumming moves here and I'd bet that the recent Soundgarden music has amped up everyone's imagination and creative spirits.
I honestly haven't been this excited for a leadoff single since Grievance. I Am Mine, Worldwide Suicide, and The Fixer had their pros and cons, but they weren't all that stellar. This generally pumps me up and it feels as if its been a long time since this band's actually done that. If only something like this had come along a decade ago.
However, the art's kind of a letdown. That red/black/white color scheme is really way too played out at this point considering how prevalent it was in work throughout the Bush administration, but I'm pretty happy with the album title and this lead-off single.
I'm expecting something pretty awesome.

Maybe it will be like Idiocracy:
Matt Mountain Dew Cameron
Mike Doritos Cool Ranch® McCready
For the record, I'm hardcore Libertarian so have don't have a big problem with corporations. It's just interesting the direction the band has taken lately compared to where they were even 10 years ago.

Yeah at first it sounded off, but I couldn't be sure, so I left it to the experts to decide.
