Alien: Covenant is better than Soundgarden

I get that. I love Prometheus even if i see the big script mistakes it has...I sense Scott is doing this one to fix all that. Im not sure.tragabigzanda wrote:I'd be way more excited for this if I hadn't been so disappointed by Prometheus.

So is the Noomi Repace from the first movie in this or not? I heard she wasn't then I heard she is in the movie.
Is this the planet they left to go to at the end of the first movie?

Yeah, the problem with Prometheus was the terrible script, and those writers are gone.VinylGuy wrote:I get that. Man I can't wait for this. Danny McBride and James Franco? You know they'll both die before the end of the movie.

Re: Alien: Covenant (2017)
The only bit that took me out of the trailer is when they step out onto the new world, find the corn etc...... I've been tramping there a few times when I've gone down to the South Island. That's no alien world bro - you're just in the Milford Sounds

I think this looks really solid. I'm pretty excited for it. But the only Alien film I didn't really care for was Resurrection. I've liked all the others including Prometheus. So, I can't imagine disliking this one.

Prometheus is a solid cable movie--whenever I notice it's on, I watch about 20 minutes of it until there's a commercial. I haven't watched the whole thing since I watched a leaked screener copy, though.

Re: Alien: Covenant (2017)
I really like it. It's flawed but it's nowhere near as bad as many make it out to be. There's a lot to chew on and the cinematography is really nice. Good performances all around. Strange and compelling. Yeah, I really like it.Simple Torture wrote:Prometheus is a solid cable movie--whenever I notice it's on, I watch about 20 minutes of it until there's a commercial. Prometheus is perhaps the only movie I semi-regularly rewatch despite thinking it's bad.

Why is that, do you think? What keeps you coming back if it's bad?LoathedVermin72 wrote:Prometheus is perhaps the only movie I semi-regularly rewatch despite thinking it's bad.

One thing, and one thing only: the visuals. It's a gorgeous, stylish, sumptuous, visually intoxicating movie.durdencommatyler wrote:Why is that, do you think? It's dumb as a bag of hammers, though. Maybe I should start watching it on mute.
