wishing well isn't a bad obscure cover. I'm not a big fan of that guitar wash distorted sound in harmony.

Yellow Ledbetter is a top 10 song for me. 25 years later and it is still an achingly beautiful performance. Probably my favorite song of all the non-album tracks.

YL is overrated, but it's better than the other two.

I like stip's description of YL being achingly beautifyl, cuz Butts Lo-Down McGee, that's what it is!

Yellow Ledbetter made the QFs in 2007 and 2009, the SFs in 2008. It's been beaten by Present Tense, Porch, Black, SOLAT, Release, In My Tree, Who You Are and Breath,

The other 2 are R1'ers.

Somebody had to vote for Wishing Well, and it was me. YL is special n'all, yada yada yada, but's it is truly one of the overrated ones.

I think my dislike stems from years ago when I was a wee lad digging tunes like SOLAT, Animal, RVM, GO, and primarily the rockers. All the preppy kids liked Ten and YL, and I guess my rebellion started there. I was firmly on team Vs at the time. Outside of Breath / SOLAT / Oceans I wasn't that into the Ten era stuff.

It's odd how little I think of Yellow Ledbetter as a song in its own right. I always just view it through the perspective of it being the curtain closer for a concert.

I know YL isn't a cover but it's always seemed like one to me.

Is this your way of trying to trick me into not voting for it?
