I can now appreciate Gremmie for the joke it is. I actually found it kind of offensive back in 1995 when pearl jam had to be SERIOUS. Plus there was no album that year, at a time when I was conditioned to expect one, so this felt like it was taking up the spot of a real song.

I love black red yellow, and I wish pearl jam wrote some more out there songs like this. Love the main riff, the layered vocals, and the jam in the middle.

But I'm voting for Last Kiss, in all its schmaltzy glory. That's a powerhouse performance that makes grief seem like an enviable condition, and is always a great sing along when you get it live.

I wouldn't go that far but BRY is really good and I can't stand Last Kiss and couldn't care less about Gremmie.

Yep. I think Jack owns this song. His work on the highhat and snare is fantastic. To me, it's almost a little Charlie Watts like, but with Jack's style.

I've never been a fan of BRY, but this is a vote for Last Kiss rather than against the other tracks. I really love that song, and it's one of my favorite "studio" recordings the band has done. I really wish at one point PJ had made a record that way.
