Re: The Coffee Appreciation Thread
Most roasters around here bag up single origin beans. It'd be great to find a local place that does blends well. Cuveé in Austin does, but they're getting harder to find around here.
Been using this bag of Ethiopian beans from Lomi Roasting Co. that some co-workers gave me at the employee Christmas party. Normally I buy Guatemalan beans from Greenway. (Both Lomi and Greenway are local Houston roasters)

I never really thought much about this, but since I'm paying more attention to grind I've noticed that different beans grind at different rates. Or am I going crazy here?

I mean, it makes sense. Size could be a factor. Maybe the texture in certain regions is harder than others? Time to go down a rabbit hole.

Good morning, folks.

Agreed, but if she didn't close last night and I didn't close last night then pulsing after 9 am is fair game.Kaius wrote:To be fair, that isn't the best sound to wake up to you.

Have you considered using a hand grinder? They're much quieter, and they often give a better grind than electric grinders.washing machine wrote:I pulsed the bean grinder one too many times this morning and now miss WM is awake and annoyed.Good morning, folks.
