I've been listening to a lot of Astonishing Legends lately. I really enjoy kinda spooky stories. That and Beautiful Anonymous are taking up most of my podcast time right now.

This one looks interesting. Goes into folklore and weird tales from around the world.

Hank needs to get off his ass and get back to his own podcast.

After a quick Google search to find the name, I find this:
Henry & Heidi Podcast: Henry Does Acid

03-06-17

Episode 15 and this time we're chatting about Henry's experience with Lysergic acid diethylamide.
So hey. I guess he did?

The previous episode though:
Henry & Heidi Podcast: Henry & Hubert Selby Jr.

07-21-15

Episode 14 and this time we're chatting about Hubert Selby Jr.
That's actually the reason I started reading Hubert Selby Jr.

My buddies over on the Watching the Throne podcast are doing a live recording at SXSW. Super exciting!

Have you ever listened to any of this spoken word stuff? He has a real knack for turning the male-centric view on its head.
I've heard Get in the Van, which was good.

I'm glad that Embedded is back--it's an NPR podcast, and their schtick is that they take stories from the news that you may have heard of and dig in deeper to get at the underbelly of them. In Season 1 there were a number of stories about the opioid crisis, but then there was a great one about what it's like to play in the NBA D-League, one about a biker brawl in Texas, the reason for suicide rates in Greenland...really interesting stuff. However, my excitement is tempered a little bit, since every episode this season is going to cover a different police-involved shooting from the past few years and look at the before and the aftermath, the stuff that isn't covered on the news. Still interesting, I just wish it'd be a bit more diverse in its topics.

I've listened to a lot of his stuff. Some of it's really good and some of it's really insufferable. Hell, the podcast he just released he talks all about how great his experience was with LSD and then immediately says that no one should try it. Granted he does say it's him being hypocritical but wth.

I do love his stories about being human. The "Russia" and "Marius" stories from Think Tank in particular.

It's weird. There is a bit of an ethical problem to the piece (if the guy doesn't want to be found, shouldn't we respect that and leave the poor guy alone) but it's such an entertaining deep dive. Looking forward to your thoughts.

Those conspiracy guys is a great podcast.
They really get into it. 4-6 hour long episodes really well researched for all evidence not just the head in the sand tin foil stuff. And some really great topics and famous theories.

The episode about Kurts death and the death of Marilyn Monroe are both great startin points.
