I thought this was amazing. Was my first EV show. Have been dreaming about seeing Parting Ways live for years, so well, there we go. Can't wait for tomorrow.

Edit: I can't remember hearing Out of Sand thought, think it should be "Light today" instead.

Come Back sounded great. I thought you could hear his voice trembling a little, but he held himself (which he couldn't later on Song of Good Hope). Before that one he talked about in time of need having to reach out to someone, that there's always friends ready to help even if you think there aren't. He stressed he was talking generelly and didn't want to name the 'obvious'. And that for some people certain songs can help. Then joked about even people saying Bon Jovi songs helped them through rough times. But then went on that he wanted to hear this song tonight because that was such a song to him & Glen was such a friend to him. And then Arc. And then "well, let's end this one on a positive note" and played a great Hard Sun.

I think he's doing great. You can see he's hurt, but he's at least giving it a shot to feed on some positive energy from the crowd, from the music, from the string quarted, from Glen. I might be going way off here, but it's been talked about a lot how between Pearl Jam and AIC/SG/Nirvana, the main difference has often seemed with PJ there's always somewhere this line of hope & optimism. I think that was really there last night. No matter how cold the winter, there's a springtime ahead. (Loved to hear that one as well.)
