Mark Lanegan

Post by Gods' Die »

Let's get a thread for this guy started up.

I think about how much I dig Bubblegum, but reading about the 3 records that came before and those are so fucking good too.

...so talk about him.

I was not a huge fan of Sunday at Devil Dirt but the companion ep is quite nice

I enjoy most of his work but I do believe, as far as solo efforts go, Scraps at Midnight is my favorite album. Listened to it last night and hell, I'm spinning it again now.

He must be my favorite solo artist...his solo work is way better than anything the Screaming Trees did.
And the Soulsavers albums are amazing.

Hope to hear a new Gutter Twins record soon, his voice along with Greg? Dulli sounded just nice.

Which one is the cover record? Is it Field Songs?

I'll take care of you

There's gonna be another one hopefully this year with a lot of the same people that were in that one.

Bubblegum is solid but not completely exceptional. There are some really wonderful songs and some very average ones. It's probably his least consistent album of original material.

Rock A Rolla Magazine:
<Screaming Trees/Gutter Twins man Mark Lanegan has a release planned on Patton's Ipecac label. Details are still sketchy but it will most likely hit the stores in February>
