Here we go. Finally, a little challenge!

God, man.... these are all good to great. I'm going with Small Town. It's just one of those songs that continues to resonate in me, even after all these years. If it's possible, it's maybe even gotten better in my estimation as time as gone on. I just adore it.

But FUCK RVM is another heavy-hitter. And I have no problem seeing it take the victory. I'll be a tad disappointed (and surprised) if Dissident pulls this out. But it should get a few votes at least.

Elderly Woman made the QFs in 2009, but generally busts out in R3.
Rearviewmirror has only made the final once, in 2008, where it lost to Immortality. It has never dropped out before R4, and has made several QFs and a coupla SFs.
Dissident has never made it past R2.

Rearviewmirror for me. Listening to these songs back to back with Ten is pretty striking. In terms of production, Ten certainly sounds of its time. There's a lot on Vs. that sounds to me as if it could have been recording yesterday. It's a spottier record than my absolute favorites of theirs, but the best on this album is as good as anything they've done.

If Last Exit doesn't win this year I hope it's RVM. I've gotten back into that song in a huge way recently.

I'm pulling for Last Exit or perhaps Sleight of Hand, if I am barring the song I think is the best that's already had it's day in the sun.

It surprises me that Rearviewmirror has never won.
