I get that, but...its pretty much what the show is about. Its not that different from the last season. I dont agree with Hanna, her arc is changing a lot from the previous seasons, she dont care about Adam and Jessa, she is finally doing stuff as a writer and well see what happen with the ¨news¨.
I agree with Adam and Jessa..i hate them. But i can see how can they feel that way about making a movie, i know people like that.

So glad that Marnie is getting called out for her narcissism. But, given the fact she's so narcissistic, I doubt any of it will stick. She's a lost cause and probably the most hatable character on the show.

Ray though... I almost understand where he's coming from. He's desperate to be with someone, and he probably views Marnie as way out of his league, so he's going for it. I have no doubt he'll come around and be with Shosh in the end. But, and I might be very mistaken here, isn't he the oldest in the group, by a fair margin? If so, I can see him going through some sort of desperation trying to find a partner....ANY partner. Especially if he wants to settle down and possible start a family. I have a friend who's 37 who's going through this exact same thing... trying to figure out his personal life and becoming quite desperate about it, and he's been with several people in the past year that are very much Marnie-esque.

Yea, I totally understand Ray's position; it feels real to me. And I agree that he'll probably come around. Watching Marnie half-heartedly fake an orgasm was such a bummer, I'd like to think his character will realize the charade.
Yeah I would think so too, I feel like he's in some weird limbo right now between being his typical asshole-self from the early seasons, and coming down from relationship high from last season

This season has been solid. I'm sorry to see this go....

and its probably facing death that will be the catalyst for him to not wasting his time with her, but it could equally make him feel more dependent on marnie and forcing her out. lets see where the writing goes on this one

Yeah I agree I think it will be the cliche "Someone close to me died" relaization story that pushes him back to Shosh

This was a better episode, the Ray and Elijah scenes in particular.

Agreed. Apart from the Adam/Jesss meta stuff, I really liked this one.
I would even say it was excellent at times. The asian restaurant scenes were the highlight of the season so far.

The Elijah/Hannah scene in the kitchen was great. Gotta go with Elijah on that one. The whole story about Hannah's mom getting lost was kinda dumb, but given my history with friends eating edibles for the first time, it rang a little true haha

So were the scenes with Adam and the baby last season priming us for his inevitable reunion with a pregnant Hannah?

I enjoy the brief interviews with Dunham and the other showrunner after each episode.
