Watched the first episode of Kimmy Schmidt last night and it seems promising.

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I knew my ideas about Kimmy Schmidt would be divisive, but I am surprised to see you two falling on the side of 30 Rock. I figured durds would love all the gleeful jazz-hands-meets-dark-humor of Kimmy Schmidt, and assumed snatch found 30 Rock to be a bit monotonous, as I did.

I couldn't even make it through season two of Kimmy. 30 Rock has several of my favorite moments in TV comedy. Easy call here.

Except, I still haven't made it through S1 of Kimmy. And have zero interest in picking it up again and beginning S2.

30 Rock is all time, classic, for the history books TV comedy. Ranks among the best of all time.

It can be interesting but it had the same problem as Downton Abbey: The shows keep doing time jumps. Suddenly there's one character who everyone loves (Maggie Smith/Ragnar) and the show runners know if they lose the character, they're going to lose the audience. So they slow everything down and suddenly it's boring as shit.

Ragnar is dead now and the show is terrible. They're doing 20 episode 'seasons' but really they're two 10 episode seasons broken up by a huge gap.

Oh and Ragnar's wife doesn't age. Everyone else is getting older but she still looks like she's in her 30's.
