1/2 Full blows me away in the live setting.

Bu$hleaguer has come full circle, from fun Bush bashing, to hamfisted dated silliness, and back around to a song that was great for its time, but has understandably lost some of its luster.

You Are is a top 10 song for me.

I was always disappointed in Bushleaguer. I wanted so desperately for that song to be great. But the first verse is just Daily Kos level snark, the second verse is incomprehensible, and the spoken word doesn't work. Great chorus, though.

You Are is interesting, but like so many of Riot Act's songs, it is held back by Eddie's wan vocals. Amazing opening lyric though.

1/2 Full is only okay on the album (Red Mosquito light) but really comes into its own live. It gets my vote.

You Are is my favorite song on Riot Act, and probably my favorite song PJ has made since Binaural. I absolutely love it. I've always been a fan of 1/2 Full and Bu$hleaguer too. Both good songs but they just don't compete with You Are.

You Are, though I think these are three of the weaker songs on Riot Act. I still wish Ed had tried a different approach with Bushleaguer; it seemed like for awhile he didn't know how to approach some of the more unconventional musical beds the band brought in, so he would just do spoken word atop them.

I like 1/2 Full. A lot. Just not half as much as You Are. Which is a goddamn brilliant song.
