Like all of these. Unemployable, Gone and Come Back are all really stellar songs. Won't be upset to see any of the three advance. But I'm going with Unemployable. Because duh.

Re: Unemployable vs. Gone vs. Wasted Reprise vs. Come Back
I actively dislike Unemployable. I think the lyrics are a bit condescending (he lacks Springsteen's deftness for songs like this), I'm usually not a fan of the slightly off-kilter time signatures, and I hate the sheen eddie puts on his voice.
Gone is a nice song that comes across as just a bit too lifeless in the verses - it needs a bit more depth. The chorus is simple, but it has that classic pearl jam lift, and it felt so refreshing after several records where that was largely lacking.
Wasted Reprise always reminds me a bit of Tom Waits, and it's a nice bumper. Probably my favorite of all these types of songs in the catalog.
Come Back is a lovely song and a great performance that desperately needed to be captured in any session other than S/T. It's great.

Unemployable is the easy winner here, although I've slightly warmed to Come Back over the years. It's a 3 out of 5 kind of song, there's too many problems that could keep it from hanging with the great, but along with Army Reserve it helps to save S/T from a pretty insipid second half.
And the biggest problem with that second half is Gone. It's a song that's best forgotten.

I went with Come Back for sentimental reasons, otherwise I would have gone with Unemployable.
I appreciate what they did with Wasted Reprise, it's fine enough. Gone can eat shit.

Love Unemployable, always have.
Gone is terrible. Empty. Boring. Utterly forgettable. Can't believe they added it to the album at the last minute.

Re: Unemployable vs. Gone vs. Wasted Reprise vs. Come Back
I did like Gone as a single, non-album, Ed demo track. A lot. And at first I was really bummed to see that they'd fleshed it out and made it a proper album track. But then I heard the S/T version and I really loved it. There's something about that style of song that I think they do really well. Unlike Stip, I think Ed excels at this "Springsteen" thing (if I understand what he means by that). Then again, I'm not a big Springsteen fan. So, it could very well be that Ed is actually really bad at it and I just don't get it because I don't listen to Springsteen. Either way, I really love Gone in all its forms.
But it's no Unemployable.

I've always liked Gone too. I like Unemployable and Come Back more, but Gone is alright with me. Unemployable got my vote.
