Johnny Guitar is still a good, enjoyable song. But Spenno's not wrong here. And it's easily the worst part of the song.

I think this is the worst match so far. Three fairly crappy songs.

Voting for "Mind Your Manners" because at least it has a bit of an edge to it, and "we could something else" is slightly less embarrassing than "... whelmed by the grace".

The overwhelmed by grace bit is pretty fantastic. I love those lines.

I've grown to like "Sirens" over the years. The other two are both in my bottom five Pearl Jam songs.

Strat you almost made me vote for Sirens over Getaway.

Another story like that and I just might change my vote.

"If I think too much I can get overwhelmed by the grace by which we live our lives with death over our shoulders"-- okay, sure. I don't particularly like that line but it's not horrific.

But breaking "over" and "whelmed" up like the song does is just awkward and crass

It's never bothered me like it does you (and many others). Totally valid criticism, though. I certainly wouldn't call it crass. But you're way better at listening to AND writing about music than I am. So you're probably right. Just doesn't bug me personally.

Ironic considering it's your love for this album that will eventually undo your family.

Yeah my coworker jumped. Then asked me what was so goddamn funny. I told him he wouldn't understand. He insisted. After a back and forth that went on way too long, I told him what was so funny. He didn't even crack a smile. In fact, he looked like he wanted to punch me in the dick.

I tried to warn him.

that happened once with the wife, and now every time I laugh at something and she asks what it was, I just have to say, "Pearl Jam message board" and that's it. She just rolls her eyes, mumbles "dorks", and wants no further explanation

My wife and I have strikingly similar interactions. So much so, that I've learned to shorten "Pearl Jame message board" to just "RM." I've probably saved a good a year of my life by doing that.
