I understand that added absolutely nothing to the conversation but I just had to say such a thing.

Also, how did the empire track the rebels out of hyperspace as we go into A New Hope?

interesting. i thought she looked worse in that clip than in the theaters. and i thought she looked hokey in the theaters..durdencommatyler wrote:Really? You think? My first reaction was that they had improved her a lot since it was in theaters. Looked way better than I remembered.dprival78 wrote:cgi leia doesn't look good there
tarkin was leaps and bounds better imho, but it still just felt weird to me. he looks like a great video game character.. give me a real person over that any day.
or, as others have mentioned before, i think i'd prefer it if they had kept close ups to a minimum if they insisted on recreating him with the fancy computer machines

I mean, you know it is a real person though, right? He's a real actor performing the role in real life, interacting with other real actors.

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
I think we have a separate thread for this and we've done this before BUT...
1. The Empire Strikes Back
2. Rogue One
3. The Force Awakens
4. A New Hope
5. Return of the Jedi
6. Revenge of the Sith
7. The Phantom Menace
8. Attack of the Clones
I still don't get why people didn't enjoy/understand the first 2/3 of Rogue One. It's some of the best stuff in the movie and there is some all time Star Wars in there, too. Just phenomenal.

Imagine krennic had made it to bending his knees in front of the emperor.
He is totally relatable as a career ladder climber. That's just human instinct. But he would have withered under Palpatines gaze.

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
I can't rank Star Wars. Not the OT anyways.
Some days you're in an empire kind of mood. Some days a Jedi.
Rogue one has changed the game.
Watching rogue one and putting a new hope on makes all the sense in the world.
Last ten minutes.
It's barely above asthetics. But it's enough to bring it together.

Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Oooh! Please let us know. I'm really interested to see what she has to say. My wife also really liked it. She liked it less that TFA and where I thought a lot of it was really different for a Star Wars film, she was all like, "it had all the Star Wars-y things in it." I was taken aback by that until she broke it down for me.LetMeSleep wrote:I can't wait for my 2nd viewing. Re: Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
She was really into TFA until they got to Starkiller and she said it's the same as the first one.
I think she'll like this one.

So Vader built his castle on the very spot he lost the fight to Obi Wan on Mustafar. That makes all the sense in the world. He'd be torturing himself
