Or a long standing, inexpensive program that is vital to assisting low income families is gutted by assholes and people react by reaching out and supporting said program.

The 3 percent is Mulvaney's number, though they report that Meals on Wheels would likely get cut due to reductions in Health and Human Services.

I think any argument on the basis of this being 'cost-cutting' are pretty much null and void due to the fact that it's doing nothing to cut the deficit. It's reallocating money from programs like Meals on Wheels and putting it back into military, DHS, VA and a few other things. If someone thinks that's the right move, ok, but it's bizarre to see people talking about this being a conservative budget in terms of spending reductions.

Washington (CNN)The FBI has information that indicates associates of President Donald Trump communicated with suspected Russian operatives to possibly coordinate the release of information damaging to Hillary Clinton's campaign, US officials told CNN.

This is partly what FBI Director James Comey was referring to when he made a bombshell announcement Monday before Congress that the FBI is investigating the Trump campaign's ties to Russia, according to one source.
The FBI is now reviewing that information, which includes human intelligence, travel, business and phone records and accounts of in-person meetings, according to those U.S. officials. The information is raising the suspicions of FBI counterintelligence investigators that the coordination may have taken place, though officials cautioned that the information was not conclusive and that the investigation is ongoing.
