It was code. He was sending a message. It just said, "Help. They're hurting us."

Donald Trump's weekly character journey looks an awful lot like Gargamel's.

Does Trump want this vote to happen just so he can build a shitlist?

Another big trump win. So much winning. Too much winning.

A bit humiliating here. I bet he won't run for office next time around. Couldn't handle another big win

I know we have a long way to go with this administration but this week has given me hope that some common sense will prevail between now and midterms.

This is genuinely the first time since the primary that Republicans have seen that they don't have to fall in line behind him.

His agenda is in deep shit.

Why though? This was more Ryan's plan wasn't it?

Because Donald wanted a distracting win so hard that he allowed his efforts to resolve this be widely, volumously public. He set up the "dealmaker" story, and they didn't play ball.

I've had a few republican friends soften this up as a win for republicans. And that they stood against such an atrocious bill. That they stood up to trump and we can't blame the entire party for trumps faults.

Okay great some republicans stood up to this but ultimately this is a major failure for the entire party. It's embarrsssing and humiliating. 7 years to come up with something. Nothing. Absolutely nothung.

You don't win with real republican voters. they have their own data source, and they have a very literal right/left binary input. if you win with moderate Dems (who often vote right in non-presidentials) and centrists, though, you've won.

Also lol repubs won by standing against an atrocious bill they wrote

There seems like a fairly simple way to win: side with the Freedom caucus. The moderates will fall in line. They always do. The Tea Party/MAGA crowd won't budge (nor should they), and they are the Republican party through and through.

Or just wait and get replaced by a new batch swearing to change Washington next election.

It was smart for Ryan to pull the vote, though. Less chance of putting a bullseye on yes voting Republicans.

it is remarkable that the reason this terrible piece of shit didn't pass is because 20 of the most terrible pieces of shit in congress didn't think it was extreme enough

Ryan didn't pull it though? He warned trump and trump pulled it. Which is genius because now he can blame everyone else and take credit for not allowing a failed Heath plan rip of millions of American

I was really hoping this would pass so all the deplorables would lose their health care and finally learn what it's like to suffer. That's really too bad.
