Hail hail, who you are, smile, habit, red mosquito -- those all deserve to be here more than IMT.evenslow wrote:what would be your preferred matchup?tragabigzanda wrote:Off He Goes, but this is an underwhelming match
leaving out hail hail, mine would be IMT vs. Smile.

Wait. These are the 2 finalists out of this shit? Really? All of the other no code songs are already out of the tournament?

I'd have carried that torch to the end with you, Kaius.
That said, I love both of these and am glad to see either of them advance. Slight edge to "In My Tree" but these are both favorites.

This is a tough one for me.
IMT is real great and I'm sure will advance (and I can't really argue with that), but for me Off He Goes just hits the spot at the moment.

Re: No Code Championship: Off He Goes vs. In My Tree
As you all know by now, In My Tree is my favorite song. Period. So, it gets my vote. There are songs on No Code that I like more than Off He Goes but I still think Off He Goes is a great song. To me, this is only a boring or underwhelming match because of how much I love In My Tree. Nothing else stands a chance.

Off He Goes is fucking awful, that has to be one of my least favorite 90's songs of theirs. It's boring and it feels like it goes on forever.

In My Tree. It's one of those "how did they come up with this" songs for me, including stuff like Insignificance, Rival, Sleight of Hand, Daughter, a bunch of others. It's a song that feels uniquely PJ.

Why can't they do this all the time?
Would be my question

Off He Goes is beautiful. I really love the guitar work throughout with that bit of country twang. It's on of my favorites from No Code, but it's no In My Tree.Jammer XCI wrote:Off He Goes is fucking awful, that has to be one of my least favorite 90's songs of theirs.
