I'm biased since I was there, but I go with Mansfield '03. I still enjoy that bootleg a great deal.
I think Unplugged '92 is a close second.
As chud said, anything past '06 is really hit or miss. Maybe a few decent versions, but not worth it.

Everything should be listened to before it is disqualified because of when it happened.cutuphalfdead wrote:anything post 06 should be disqualified for too many syllables in the vocals

Re: What's the best PJ soft/acoustic show?
I liked it the first time I heard it, around 14 years ago, and I still think is a special set. The Benaroya show lacks of passion and there are songs that killed the mood (25 minutes to go, lukin) and sounds like a very good audience recording.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Mansfield 03 pre-set
MTV Unplugged is another excellent one, but somehow I can´t consider it at the same league than the following acoustic sets. Is so energetic that is up there with other powerful non-acoustic shows...
Both nights at Bridge School 1996 & 1999 are great too. Listening Nothing as it Seems and Thin Air in a pirate cassette at the time was priceless.
-Mansfield 2003 Pre-Set
-Bridge School 1996, both nights
-Bridge School 1999, both nights
-Bridge School 1992
-Bridge School 2001, 2nd night (Low Light...)
-Benaroya Hall
-Santa Barbara Bowl (I really wish to hear a SBD version of this show... The audience recordings sound too thin, even the electric set. Too much drum, no much guitars...)
-Bridge School 1994, both nights (Eddie´s voice was very weird during both nights... New songs sounded very weak)
