I don't relate to that verse as much now as I did at 18. The first line is particularly incorrect. The sentiment is great though.

Yeah, I love that moment in the song, but I don't know if I'd point to that as a lyrical high mark for Eddie. I think what he's able to do in Hail Hail is pretty fantastic, despite one or two lyrical moments that rub the wrong way. I love the music to both these songs, so that puts Hail Hail over slightly.

Hail Hail (again with one or two misteps) is one of Eddie's finest works lyrically, for sure. And superior to Not For You. But I do love the sentiment and the expression of that verse in NFY
