Pretty close, and very similar songs, but Animal gets my vote. Stronger performance from Eddie, and I tend to prefer the more tightly coiled energy from Vs. to the looser, more playful takes on Vs.


Both worthy of being here. Generally I'm not a particular fan of Jack's drumming, but he shines on Brain of J.

I turn to BoJ more and more every year. Animal was a fav in 93 and is still top 20 but BoJ is top ten and rising.

I've done a first (for me). I've changed my vote. I listened to both, watched both the Brain of J. video here and the Animal video from the MTV awards, and I have switched to BoJ.

Brain of J - cause it was the first song I saw them play live and has always had a special place since then
