The way Rebels Recon was so flippant in dismissing a Chopper standalone film was very upsetting to me.

You made me realise I only have a few problems. I haven't watched it again. But. And it's a big but.
There's a lot wrong with this one as a finale. It's like kids with crayons let loose in a way.
Let's go into it more when we've all seen it.

I think its the exact opposite.
Spoiler: show
And the more I think about it, after typing my spoiler out, that I really like everything about the episode, with the exception that no one died. It took all the tension, creativity and high points kinda feel like "eh, so what" It just made it feel like there were no stakes. If the episode ended lamenting the death of Rex, or Zeb, or maybe even Kallus it would have been great.

It has one problem... but you're right... It's a big one.
Spoiler: show
Sato died. And he was pretty high in the Rebellion heirarchy.

While I agree, he's never been a focal point character

True. I think they're saving that for final season stuff.

That was my first guess, but I don't remember that being in it.

Sounds like I have a long overdue date with OBWAT soon.

So no spoilers, but I was not that crazy about the finale. Seemed kinda meh to me. I think overall I like this season less than the first two. I say that now, after a rewatch that may change.
