I thought the show was tonight, incidentally, but I might be wrong. It's conceivable that they'd soundcheck two days before if there's no time on the night.
It's called rehearsals.
There's precedent. They were here in Dublin for a week in the Point playing each day before the 06 tour started. That your is the tightest I've ever see them by the way.

New goods from PJ includes this great toy of Ed doing the face of that new photo shoot. Weird clothing though.

I thought the same thing upon reading it. Personally I'd love to hear that version in a mini acoustic set to start an encore or something. Hell, they could play the song twice for all I care as long as one is that acoustic versionDr. Van Nostrand wrote:I wonder if that version of corduroy is the one from bridge school in 96 or what ever year that wasViller wrote:Soundcheck (07.13.13): Rats, Grievance, Daughter, Whipping, Mind Your Manners, Corduroy (Alternative version), Sad, Down, Deep, 2 New Songs, Off He Goes, Setting Forth, Amongst The Waves

This isn't true at all.harmless wrote: The call and response outro on MYM is also *much* better than the same thing in Ole; the words Ed repeats are awesome and you can actually understand them.

i think i like the one in ole more but i'm a fan of both. I think eddie sounds great on both of them, and they are a smart way to add a lot of vocal energy to the outro without screaming.

Re: Lightning Bolt - October 15
I wouldn't mind the idea, but the way everyone used to complain about how much they played corduroy, i don't think it would go over that well if they played 2 versions at the same showSomethingCreative wrote:I thought the same thing upon reading it. Maybe I find it better because it's part of a better song, but whatever, I prefer it, I prefer what it says, and I struggle to understand the lyrics in the equivalent part of Ole.

I just think the Ole outro is much better. On MYM it derails the song a bit for me.

It's all opinion ain't it, but for me it's the best part. Maybe I just like the sentiment and its delivery. It's more impactful to me.verb_to_trust wrote:harmless wrote:All of it?verb_to_trust wrote:This isn't true at all.harmless wrote: The call and response outro on MYM is also *much* better than the same thing in Ole; the words Ed repeats are awesome and you can actually understand them.
